The World Energy Day Foundation is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-discriminatory, organization established in 2021 with the objective of the society to foster the development of energy efficiency and conservation measures as well as climate change interventions in Kenya and within the region.

Theme: The Future of Energy in Africa – Innovation, Efficiency & Interoperability

The World Energy Day Conference 2020 marked the summit of a series of impactful monthly discussions on Energy held to mark the World Energy Day Celebrations. The three-day conference from 21st to 23rd October 2020 was an online conference in response to the global call for a transition to flatten the Covid19 curve, yielding a successful outcome.

The World Energy Day Conference 2021 marked the culmination of impactful monthly webinar discussions on Energy held to mark the World Energy Day Celebrations. The World Energy Day Conferencewas held for the very firsttime at the Pearl of Africa, Kampala, Uganda atProtea SkyzHotel from the 20th to the 22nd of October this year.

Theme: Empowering Energy Independence in Africa – Enabling Renewable Energy Awareness, Access & Affordability in Rural and Urban Areas

The World Energy Day Conference 2022 marked the culmination of impactful monthly webinar discussions on Energy held to mark the World Energy Day Celebrations. The World Energy Day Conference was held in Mombasa Kenya at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa Mombasa from the 20th to the 21st of October 2022. The two-day conference from 20th to 21st October was a hybrid event with physical attendees at Sarova Whitesands Resort and Spa Mombasa and online delegates from across the globe. ​
